About Amanda Scott

As an export compliance manager, I am a skilled program manager and team lead who thrives in a task rich environment. I am well versed in policy and several import/export regulations, to include the ITAR, EAR, and U.S. Customs. Prior to Raytheon, I have over five years of legal experience. I routinely interpreted law reviews, published studies, and financial reports. I am experienced in legal research, data analysis, process analysis, client management and legal document drafting. I am a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Arts. I majored in Political Science with concentrations in Public Administration.Complimenting my legal experience is my extensive volunteer involvement as a military talent advocate and strategist. I was the co- founder and Network Lead Of the Military Spouse Professional Network - Davis Monthan, a non profit under the umbrella of Hiring our Heroes. This US Chamber of Commerce program focuses on a cause near and dear to my heart: finding meaningful employment for career-minded military spouses. In this position I managed a leadership board, develop chapter processes, and meet with community leaders. I have also been a VITA tax preparer, nonprofit fundraiser, and restitution advocate for victims. These roles have not only allowed me to diversify and gain extensive management experience, but more importantly they have allowed me to give back to my community.
