ABOUT AMANDA SELK
Dr. Amanda Selk completed her BSc at the University of Toronto, followed by her MD at The University of Western Ontario. She returned to Toronto for her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and then earned an MSc in Health Research Methodology (Clinical Epidemiology) from McMaster University. Recently, she completed an Executive Master of Health Administration (EMHA) through the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa.With specialized post-graduate training in vulvar dermatology, Dr. Selk’s clinical and research focus includes colposcopy, vulvar disorders, and general obstetrics. She created and coordinates the Vulvar Gynecology-Dermatology Clinic and serves as the Clinical Lead for Colposcopy at Women’s College Hospital. She also chairs the Medical Advisory Council at Women’s College Hospital and is a member of the Board of Directors.Dr. Selk is the Immediate Past President of both the North American Chapter of the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease (ISSVD) and the Society of Canadian Colposcopists. She is a current Board Member of the International Federation of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (IFCPC) and the International Society of the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease. She also serves as the Social Media Editor for the Journal of Lower Genital Tract Disease and hosts the popular medical podcast, The Vulva Diaries https://blubrry.com/the_vulva_diaries/.In addition to overseeing multiple medical student and resident research projects, Dr. Selk supervises a postgraduate fellowship training in vulvovaginal health. In 2024, she was honored as one of the WXN Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada.
