About Amanda Quinonez
Hello! My name is Amanda Quiñonez and I am a fourth year undergraduate student pursuing degrees in Plan II Interdisciplinary Studies and International Relations and Global Studies (IRG); both in the the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, I am pursuing minors in Business as well as a certificate in Business Spanish. I am originally from Houston, Texas and I graduated from the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, where my artistic focus was violin performance. Throughout high school, I always knew I had a strong interest in diplomacy and global affairs, which is why I chose to major in IRG. Within my studies I am focusing on International Political Economy and Latin America. Specifically, I am interested in democratic governance and the decline and expansion of democracies in the region. I hope to pursue a career either in the public or private sector where I am able to work on policy issues pertaining to Latin America.
