About Amanda Puyot

While I graduated in mechanical engineering, my life long enjoyment of music led me to my current role as an Acoustic Design Engineer. I specialize in loudspeaker design engineering for OEM and aftermarket car, side by side, boat, and motorcycle applications. Imagine your ideal joy ride. Does it include a sick bike, scenic views and the wind beating against your chest (and helmet, of course)? Or maybe it includes listening to your favorite album with the windows all the way up in the comfort of the car you wished for since the day you began driving. No matter what it is, my passion is making sure that your dream ride sounds exactly like you always thought it would. As long as I have a healthy breakfast and my multi tool in my pocket, any time is speaker design time!

   Loudspeaker design engineer for OEM and aftermarket car, side by side, boat, and motorcycle applicationsI am responsible for all things speaker related from feasibility, through design and validation, and all the way up to market production. This includes market research, complex motor design and acoustic/electromagnetic simulation, supplier engagement, acoustic testing and measurements, and root-cause failure analysis. In addition to project related tasks, I also play a key role in test equipment repair and maintenance as well as test fixture design and implementation.When I\'m not designing speakers, working with suppliers, or running my own tests, you can find me somewhere in the building listening to people\'s process related pain points so I can design and implement improvements to make their dissatisfaction a thing of the past. Whether it be a desire for optimized warehouse distribution and storage, creating large scale manufacturer transfer processes, or generating intuitive templates to make report generation less cumbersome, I gain intense amounts of satisfaction from learning new skills to help make the workplace more tidy and enjoyable for all and making processes more sustainable for long term growth. And if I\'m not in the building? I\'m probably on the road riding on the back of a Harley or in the desert driving a side by side doing critical listening data collection and interfacing with the product to make sure that everything I work on is made with adventure in mind.
