1. Saks Global

   May 2022 — Present

   Transitioning into a more established product role, my area of ownership now includes supporting: cart, checkout, post-purchase, all payment methods on the Saks website, the international checkout flow and experience, fraud, promotions, order management and fulfillment, access to customer support from the Saks website, the customer’s account, and the loyalty program. Within these areas, I specialize in launching high impact features, driving key enhancements and resolving critical bugs to improve the customer experience and to support the Saks business. I’ve recently led the launch of a new pre-approval feature on saks.com which allows customers to apply for the Saks credit card and receive a soft credit check that does not impact their credit score. Within its first week of launch, this feature increased approval rates by 121% and significantly improved the customer experience. Prior to the above, I led a project to replace all promotional physical gift cards with digital e-gift cards, saving Saks over $1MM annually in shipping costs and gift card promotion abuse. As a fast follow, I additionally led a project resolving major in-store returns fraud of online orders, saving Saks $3MM annually. Both of these projects were successfully launched on-time before our peak holiday period. Being on a small team of two, I’ve been challenged to play a series of roles in addition to product including program manager, project manager and tech lead. Given my computer science tech background and passion for learning, I’m able to lean into “gray areas” for the projects at hand. I have created countless flow charts outlining various tech architectures that have helped a variety of tech and business stakeholders understand the Saks systems as a whole. Overall, I’ve come to realize that the “gray areas” of systems or projects are my favorite challenges to uncover and simplify.
