I am responsible and accountable for all faucets of parks and recreation for over 60 parks, which includes active fields, campgrounds, greenways, boat landing and community centers. Responsibilities also include the management of all sports programming and 200+ special events on an annual basis. Serving in a leadership position, I implement the mission, vision and values through the development and implementation of strategic plan goals for the Parks and Recreation Department on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners. Core to my success has been the development of extensive partnerships through collaboration with municipal leaders, councils, boards, citizens and civic groups including inter-departmental managers to run smooth, professional events and activities. Most importantly, I serve as a direct leader for more then 30 full-time employees, provide leadership as the chair of the Tallahassee Sports Council and serve as a member of the Leon County Tourist Development Council.
