ABOUT AMANDA HARWERTH

Certified HR leader with 20 years of experience at global Fortune 500 companies in the resources sector, including energy, oil & gas and chemicals. Approaching a decade at BHP, leadership roles have spanned the Global HR, Petroleum and Global Projects organizations including Manager, HR Business Partnership for Petroleum On-shore and Off-shore Operations, Manger, Global HR Strategy and Planning and Manager, People, Process and Systems, Global Projects. Throughout my time at BHP, our focus has been to champion cultural change and foster inclusion and diversity as a means to enhance performance. Adapting to successive leadership teams and styles, I partner to provide effective coaching, facilitation, business and HR guidance. Through collective effort, our culture has evolved from command-and-control to an empowered culture of care and continuous improvement. Prior to BHP, I was privileged to work with Operator and Engineering teams in one of the largest Chemical Plants in North America at LyondellBasell and also supported the CFO and Finance team at El Paso. No matter what level of the organization, for me, professional satisfaction stems from engaging to help individuals and organizations realize their potential while championing inclusion and diversity. Credentials include a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification, multiple assessment certifications and a Strategic Change Management certificate from Kellogg Northwestern.
