About Aman Haque

Daytime, I work on nanoscale materials and electronic devices with high resolution microscopy. We control defects and microstructure using a room temperature, ultrafast annealing process we are developing. One could imagine applications such as rejuvenating electronic devices that were degraded by harsh environment including radiation. Night time, I work on designing orthosis/prosthesis design and energy harvesting. We are commercializing a prosthesis ankle that can mimic a natural ankle without any sensors and microprocessors. It enables uneven terrain adaptation and automatic minimization of socket pressure during mis-alignment. Our vision is to provide the highest mobility to lower limb amputees at lowest prosthesis weight and cost.

   We are a research and development company, working on lower limb prosthesis design. Did you know, these prostheses are always fitted for indoor and straight path walking? Yet, the outdoor is uneven with slopes, curves on grass, gravel etc. We are commercializing the \"Goralign\", an ankle prosthesis that is particularly effective on uneven terrain. By default, it also automatically reduces the socket pressure that comes from any mis-alignment. The vision of Impulse Technology is to deliver the performance of a natural ankle by powerful and simple design - not powerful actuators or microprocessor.
