ABOUT AMALYA BALAYAN

My explicit interest and passion in medicine was remarkable and noticeable even from a young age. I’ve always been fascinated with the idea of helping people in times of sickness, learning about disease concepts, and studying pharmacology. Through my adolescent years, I knew the direction I was headed and the career path that awaited me. Nursing is where I wanted to be, where my heart belongs. This very noble path has gave me the perspective of being in the center of patient care, to monitor, treat, and recognize condition when needed. As a nurse, I’ve been a witness to many life changing moments, happy and sad.The FNP degree will give me an opportunity to treat poor and disheveled population who lack the access to medical services, something many people need. It will also allow me to adequately diagnose and prescribe with broad knowledge and assessment skills. I\'m beyond excited to start this new journey as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Nursing Philosophy: Providing quality care with evidence based practice where body and soul are at one denominator.
