ABOUT AMAL MOHAMED
I am a sophomore at Bowdoin College, pursuing a major in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies with a minor in Biology. I am deeply passionate about addressing health disparities and advancing health equity, with a particular focus on maternal health. In the future, I hope to become a Certified Nurse Midwife, where I can provide compassionate support to pregnant people and women throughout their reproductive journeys. I am most interested in serving women of color, queer, and disabled families. With my experiences in childcare, education, and social justice advocacy, I have developed a strong foundation in community care and a commitment to creating positive social change. I am eager to deepen my understanding of women\'s health inequities, particularly in labor and delivery, throughout my time at Bowdoin. I am currently seeking roles where I can gain clinical or research experience in Reproductive Health.
