   Amalia is a Senior Program Manager for the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Volpe Center, a policy and research center in the Secretary’s Office of Research and Technology. She leads portfolios of work with the National Park Service, with dozens of projects ranging from national transportation policy and funding strategies to site-specific data collection and transit studies. She oversees Volpe support to the NPS on emerging mobility, including micromobility, ridehailing, traveler information technologies, electric vehicles/chargers, and automated vehicles. Amalia also serves as advisor for Volpe support to the Federal Highway Administration’s Office of Human Environment, focusing on livability, equity, multimodal connectivity, and emerging mobility. She manages over $7.5 million in budget authority and draws on a team of over 50 multidisciplinary staff.
