ABOUT AMALA JOMY

I am a compassionate and dedicated social worker driven by a deep passion for working with people in need and advocating for their rights, dignity, and holistic development.I recently completed my Master’s in Social Work (MSW) with a specialization in Community Development (CD) from Holy Cross Institute of Management and Technology, affiliated with the University of Calicut. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Kannur University, which has enhanced my communication, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.My academic journey was enriched through hands-on field experiences and internships at reputed organizations such as Native Medicare Charitable Trust (NMCT), Coimbatore; Don Bosco Anbu Illam, Coimbatore; Aashrayam Rural Development Society, Palakkad; and Kottapuram Integrated Development Society (KIDS), Thrissur. I also participated in various observation visits that deepened my understanding of grassroots realities and institutional interventions.During these internships, I conducted life skill training sessions, organized awareness programs, and collaborated with diverse communities—strengthening my skills in communication, documentation, public engagement, and facilitation. These experiences have shaped my ability to design and implement meaningful social initiatives focused on empowerment and sustainable development.I strongly believe in continuous learning, empathy, and purposeful field engagement. My greatest strength lies in blending compassion with action—an approach that guides every step of my journey as a social work professional.
