Provide technical input and cost-saving recommendations for material selections involving polymers, aluminum, and metals (ferrous and nonferrous).• Develop local Engineering Manufacturing Instructions (EMIs) and Product Quality Sheets to establish standards based on understanding of ASTM, AWS, ISO, AMS, and GMW standards for processes such as laser welding and copper brazing.• Act as a local SME for anomalies in materials and components, injection molding, induction and furnace brazing, laser welding and projection welding, contamination control, metal heat treatment, and supplier specification compliance.• Lead failure analysis on various components and generate analytical reports based on material characterizations such as morphology, metal microstructures, and elemental composition of metals and polymers.• Lead continuous quality improvements and problem-solving activities based on scientific findings and statistical analyses such as Process Capability, Gage R&R, and Paired Samples t-Tests • Develop and update Task Instruction Sheets and Temporary Job Instructions based on process changes and quality requirements.• Create visualization dashboards using SQL and Power BI to monitor production processes.• Participate in quarterly PFMEA reviews and update corresponding documents and corrective actions as needed.• Design and improve tooling and fixture models using SolidWorks to enhance throughput performance and manufacturability.• Engage in New Product Introduction activities for new product models and equipment.
