About Alyssa Garbus

Growing up on Long Island NY, moments away from the bright lights of the Big Apple, I have consistently been inspired to be a leader in any way that I could, follow my passions, and serve my community through a dedication to public service. As a student at the George Washington University, I have gotten involved in on campus leadership experiences through the Business Leader Development Program, the Women\'s Leadership Program, Program Board and Greek Life. I have gained invaluable knowledge through classes like Global Marketing Strategy and Sport & Event Management. I have additionally had pivotal internship experiences at the Willard InterContinental Hotel, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and at the U.S. House of Representatives. As a business student in the 21st century, it is necessary to have a well-developed understanding of international business in order understand our globalized society. Through my involvement in the hospitality, events and entertainment industry I have been able to be there for the most special moments in people\'s lives and make magic by going the extra mile to be there for people. I look forward to expanding on both of these disciplines as I prepare to graduate from the George Washington University.
