ABOUT ALYSSA GOLDBERG
Passionate journalist and mental health advocate with experience in outreach, crisis intervention, non-profit programming, storytelling and health communications within the public health field and music industry. My work utilizes educational and creative media to further health literacy, prevent suicide and combat medical gender bias. At Harvard Medical School, I completed an academic research paper and three-part reported feature series on medical gender bias and patient neglect using biosocial analysis and an arts-driven intervention, arguing for the use of journalism as a health intervention. After graduating with a master\'s in Media, Medicine and Health, I joined USA TODAY as a wellness reporter covering health policy, women\'s health, mental health, medical gaslighting and how wellness intertwines with pop culture.
