About Alyssa Cody

Alyssa Cody is a skilled communicator, strategist, and project manager with a focus on international development, climate change, and cross-sectoral partnerships. She strives to create bridges of understanding and connection that lead to powerful collaboration, effective advocacy, and community-based change. Alyssa holds 9+ years of experience in communications, development, and service. Most recently, she contributed to the mission of USAID\'s Partnerships Incubator as a communications specialist, where she produced content and strategy to lower barriers to new and local partnership with the Agency. Prior to the Incubator, she served as an environmental conservation volunteer in Peace Corps Panama where she collaborated with her community to realize projects in sustainable reforestation, environmental education, and waste management. She also previously held positions at Keep Omaha Beautiful, Nebraska Appleseed, Civic Nebraska, Outdoor Adventures, Pixel Bakery, and Hurrdat. Alyssa earned a bachelor of journalism degree in advertising and public relations with an emphasis in human rights and humanitarian affairs from the University of Nebraska. She is also a 500-RYT yoga and meditation instructor who shares a trauma-informed practice rooted in breath and intuitive movement. Her work is fueled by her core value of community stewardship, the perfectly curated Spotify playlist, and her daily intention to weave goodwill into the world.
