ABOUT ALYSSA PIETRASZEK
I am a marine geoscientist and geoarchaeologist specializing in the intricate relationship between human societies and marine environments. With extensive experience as an archaeological supervisor and geoarchaeologist, my research focuses on refining our understanding of Holocene sea-level changes through the integration of geological and archaeological methods. I am currently a Research Specialist II in the Department of Anthropology, Center for the Study of the First Americans at Texas A&M University and finalizing my Ph.D. in Marine Geosciences at the Leon H. Charney School of Marine Sciences at the University of Haifa. Beyond academia, I am passionate about science communication and outreach, dedicated to highlighting the significance of our intertwined human and environmental history.
