About Alyssa Palmquist
I believe meaningful change happens through human connection and emotion—the essence of any communications strategy. With over a decade of experience in health communications across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Asia, together with academic training in anthropology and development, I aim to bridge policy with practice. To start conversations that connect insight with action. To question the status quo and intentionally center marginalized voices, ensuring programs and interventions are grounded in lived experiences, cultural norms, and beliefs.I spent the last six years with the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, supporting data-driven health communications strategy at the highest level while navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. This work spanned press releases, technical launches, media management, event planning, and translating complex technical information into digital content that people could understand and act upon.My topical focus areas include women\'s health, emergency preparedness and response, nutrition, and community engagement. I have extensive experience in donor reporting, grant writing, partnerships, and copywriting for campaigns and high-level speeches.My latest venture, Alchemy Insights LLC, brings this experience together in an innovative and thoughtful way.
