Alyssa Norton attended Dean College in Franklin, MA, where she earned an Associates, and Bachelors Degree in Business Management, with a minor in History. She acquires a strong work ethic, determined attitude, great interpersonal skills, and charisma that sets her apart from the rest. Overall career goals are to work in the environment where she can showcase her passion of innovation, creativity, and team building. Currently she serves as an Logistics Administrator part of the Log Admin division of the War Gaming Department, with Saalex Corporation on the US Naval War College Campus in Newport, RI. Here she will be focusing on supporting efforts of enlisted sailors in facilitating War game Simulations here in Newport, behind the scenes event execution, as well as working directly with the Game directors to execute successful events.

   Serves as an integral part of the Log Admin Division; a subset of the War Gaming Department located at the Naval War College. • Coordinates top tier event execution for all War Games alongside enlisted personnel throughout the fiscal calendar year. • Maintains good repour with the Game Team and Faculty members to assist with preparation and days of event assistance. • Manages a daily updated SharePoint registration tracker of each war game participant, to assist enlisted personnel in the creation of badge and name tents. • Attends weekly/biweekly meetings in discussion of pre- and post-game execution assistance, to enhance division support. • Submits formal custodial, facilities, parking, and graphics SolarWinds requests needed for active games and workshops. • Secure on-base Lodging for all game participants for the timeframe of event execution. • Ensure event participants have visitor access to NAVSTA Newport/ building coordination with Access Control. • Works directly with Naval War College SSO office to ensure optimal security during highly sensitive events. • Attends DON related trainings, company certifications and protocols of highly sensitive classification identifications and requiring top secret clearances. • Provides courtesy cards to Foreign National visitors to utilize NAVSTA Newport NEX, gym, restaurants, etc. • Designs directional, event informational signs, and maps that will be placed around the base specific to each event. • Outsources food truck vendors to supply lunch service options during War Gaming events for active participants and WGD faculty. • Facilitate lunch pick up deliveries for catered WGD events. • Utilizes on base enlisted personnel organizations in support of each event. • Ensures beverage concession supplies are inventoried and ordered accordingly. • Network with multiple departments across the Naval War College surrounding event execution.
