ABOUT ALYSSA KISBY-MEADOWS
I\'ve founded Legacy Law Firm, which I\'ve designed to serve busy individuals and families. Our lives and schedules are hectic enough without having to carve out time for a long drive to a law firm during strict business hours. My view is that estate planning should be accessible and affordable to all. Because of this, I offer traditional office conferences, but also offer in-home, on-site, telephone, and video conferences, as well as flexible \"office hours\" when needed. At the start of my career, I worked for 6 years at the largest law firm West of Charlotte, practicing in the primary areas of construction law, civil litigation, and workers\' compensation defense, as well as representing HOAs, local government in tax foreclosures, assisting in bankruptcy Trustee estate administration, and representing bankruptcy creditors. I then made a career pivot and left \"big law,\" joining a boutique law firm focused on Elder Law, Medicaid Planning, Special Needs Trusts, Estate Planning, Asset Protection, and Probate and Trust Administration. While there I completed ElderCounsel\'s yearlong intensive Elder Law Immersion Camp.I am an alumnus of Duke University (go Blue Devils!) and UNC School of Law, parent of four, and strong advocate for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.
