About Alyssa Ehler

During my time at UNL I had amazing experiences and opportunities. From working for the U.S. Grains Council in Mexico City, Mexico, to encouraging the social, emotional, academic, and professional development of students from all over the world both as a Teaching & Resident Assistant, I was able to meet and work with people from diverse backgrounds, continually focus on finding new challenges, and work to create inclusive environments wherever I go.Since graduating, I\'ve been working at Gavilon/Viterra as an analyst, where I\'ve had a host of opportunities to continue to develop my skills. As a business development analyst, I am building our capital expenditure requests/investment proposals, and preparing a variety of decks for our executive team. I’ve also assisted with data collection for our next merger with Bunge. As a financial analyst, I managed a tool used by our grain elevators to forecast results, completed monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and created value through insightful data visualizations and dashboards. I have also had the opportunity to practice my leadership development skills gained in college through supervising two summer interns. I\'ve also made great connections throughout the company through participation in our women\'s ERG. First as the recruitment and engagement chair growing to 100 members in less than 2 years, but also as ERG president starting in June. My passion for connecting has served me well in planning networking opportunities and recruiting effortsThrough all of my diverse experiences, a few things have remained consistent, my passion to work for missions I believe in, connecting people and problems to ideas and solutions, breaking down problems, and never becoming complacent with where I am at.
