About Alyssa Daniel
I have a M.S. degree in Analytical Chemistry as well as a B.S. degree in Chemistry, with minors in biology and Forensic Science and Justice. I currently work as environmental lab specialist at the State Hygienic Lab while simultaneously pursuing my PhD in Human Toxicology. I successfully defended in March 2025, and I will graduate with my PhD in May. Through my 4 years of technical experience utilizing complex methodologies involving HPLC, LC-MS/MS, and other analytical chemistry methods including GC, IC, and titrations, I have developed strong problem-solving skills. Simultaneously, my PhD research has allowed me to expand my skillset, involving biostatistical modeling and coding, biochemical assays, animal study design, and epigenetic analysis. My broad skillset has set me up to be successful in a role where I will need to think critically and creatively. I am ready to use my skills to excel in a role in analytical development, forensic toxicology, or pre-clinical toxicology.
