About Alyson McCallop

I am currently a senior at Kansas State University pursuing my Bachelor\'s of Science in Business Administration in Accounting. I intend to further my education and get my Master\'s of Accountancy at K-State as well, so I will be eligible to sit for the CPA exam and graduate in May 2027, when I will be ready to begin my full-time professional career. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy organizing events as the VP of Capstone Events for Beta Alpha Psi, helping recruit prospective students to my school as a Business Ambassador, and furthering my professional development through Women in Business meetings. However, in my free time, I also enjoy baking, cheering on the Wildcats at games, reading, going to concerts, and traveling. On top of Accounting, I am also pursuing a minor in Spanish and a certificate in International Business. I have always enjoyed learning a second language and learning about a culture completely different from what I am used to. I hope to learn more about how this connects in the business world so I will be able to bring a different perspective to my future career. Because of this, I studied abroad in Spain for five weeks during Summer 2024 in order to gain a real life understanding of another culture and be able to utilize the language I\'ve been learning outside of the classroom. I am looking forward to my Embark internship at KPMG in Summer 2025 in which I will be able to explore different sectors of public accounting. I aspire to work in the Kansas City area and am eager to take on opportunities that will allow me to reach my fullest potential. Feel free to reach out and connect with me!
