About Alyson M. Laderman

As Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Executive Director of Cyber Mettle, I lead a mission-driven organization focused on strengthening cyber resilience for nonprofits and community-serving organizations while creating supervised, practical pathways for the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. I am building Cyber Mettle at the intersection of governance, operations, law, technology, and workforce development, with a focus on turning mission into durable execution. That work reflects the broader lens I bring as an Executive Strategic Advisor. I help business leaders make governance-minded decisions where law, operations, and technology intersect, translating competing constraints into clear choices, practical systems, and accountable action. I have spent 20+ years practicing law and serving in executive and management roles, including CEO, COO, and CLO. Across those roles, I have led organizations through growth, transformation, and complexity by aligning leaders around the real decision, translating legal and technical risk into business terms, and designing governance that supports execution rather than slowing it down. My operating style is curious like a builder and skeptical like an auditor, grounded in a lawyer’s duty of care. I focus on how systems work, how they fail, and what leaders need in order to make defensible decisions in the real world. My work often includes governance design, risk translation, operational alignment, technology strategy, and accountability structures that people can actually use. I also helped conceive and shape MirrorIQ, a GRC intelligence platform designed to support organizational cyber resilience, responsible decision-making, accountability, and workforce readiness. Earlier in my career, I led large-scale litigation operations and co-managed a statewide department at a national firm, where I redesigned workflows and decision structures to improve visibility, reduce backlog, and drive better outcomes. I bring a business-minded, implementation-focused approach to leadership. My interest is not theory for its own sake.
