But gun violence takes too many lives—I know firsthand, having lost someone I love to suicide and understanding the link between gun violence and domestic violence.As Program Manager for Cincinnati’s Save A Life initiative with Whitney/Strong, I bring life-saving trainings to impacted communities. Through bipartisan, data-driven solutions like common sense gun law and other evidence-based education, we meet people where they are, build common ground, and empower communities to save lives. That’s why I founded my own nonprofit Survivor Cards based on my personal experiences with PTSD, dedicated to mental health and diverse literacy advocacy. We provide thousands of personalized cards, resources, and referrals through partnerships with organizations like YWCA, Lighthouse Youth & Family Services, and NYAP—offering encouragement when it’s needed most.Learn more at this mission, I launched our initiative Diversity Book Fairies of Cincinnati, ensuring diverse and traditionally banned books reach children and families who lack access.
