ABOUT ALYSON FORNEY

At a young age, I had the opportunity to work with and manage a startup business in Bozeman, MT. Later in my career, I was able to start an insurance agency completely from scratch which is generally unheard of in the state of Montana due to issues with obtaining the needed contracts with the insurance companies. With the significant changes the insurance industry was going through due to the implementation of Obamacare, I made the decision to sell the company that I had grown substantially since its beginning. I believe that working for a startup business as well as starting my own, provided me with a diverse skill set. I have been involved in every part of owning a growing business from administrative work, marketing, budgeting, direct sales, human resources to overall management of the business. My professional career has provided me with experience in working with both the public and employees, as well as behind the scenes operations. After the sale of Mountain West, I was recruited by Frontier Insurance to oversee the operations of their agency as well as put guidelines and procedures into place for them. At the time I was hired, they had been in existence for 4 years and had grown 300% without any procedures, guidelines, accounting, etc. In just over a year’s time, I was able to implement the procedures and day to day operations needed to allow the principals to put the agency on the open market. I am currently managing the staff and day to day office operations of a growing hazmat abatement company.I take great pride in the fact that both startup companies that I was a very significant part of became profitable thriving businesses. I am comfortable working independently to achieve company goals as well as collaboratively as part of a team. I feel that my overall experience in management, sales, operations, underwriting, marketing and customer service has allowed me to transition easily into any field that I have chosen.
