About Alysha Love
I\'m Alysha. I\'m a grammar nerd at heart, and I love a good pun. I packed my bags and brought my experience in some of the fastest-moving and highest-intensity newsrooms in Washington, D.C, with me to Boise, Idaho.I started Payette Media House to stay connected with the world of editing and journalism. I\'ve added content marketing to my repertoire, layering in business strategy with storytelling and service journalism. My mission is to make the world’s content, stories and experiences better for real readers and audiences through journalistic writing and thoughtful editing.I also run Alysha Love Coaching, which I began to support women and journalists. Through coaching, managers and leaders are empowered to create more sustainable newsroom environments, which are foundational for producing high-quality journalism. It\'s my way of supporting democracy.I founded Payette Publishing in 2023 to tell empowering stories from seekers of truth.Since 2016, I\'ve been on the executive board of ACES: The Society for Editing, planning national conferences and providing national training opportunities as the board\'s youngest member. In this time, the board has transitioned the nonprofit from a board-run organization to a staff-run organization with a strategic board. Currently, I\'m the vice president for finance of ACES.During my wide-ranging experience at CNN Politics and POLITICO, I worked on website redesigns and product launches, edited social media posts in seconds and dove deep into story edits, led teams within a massive company and spearheaded my own independent projects. During one of the most unprecedented election seasons in history, I helped manage the CNN Politics\' award-winning web production and social media team through massive audience growth.I stepped into the corporate world of Silicon Valley tech on Intuit Quickbooks\' content marketing team. As the managing editor, I planned the year\'s editorial calendar and ensured excellence across the staff, freelancers and agencies. I loved bringing my experience from journalism — my nose for what the story is, what quotes are most compelling, what tidbits are the most interesting for the audience — and combining it with business goals to hit the right tone while providing real value.I\'m a proud Missouri Tiger with degrees in both journalism and psychology, and I have a master\'s in leadership and organizational development with an emphasis in executive coaching. I\'m detail-oriented with high standards in everything I do. I lead with empathy and believe in the power of kindness and authenticity.
