ABOUT ALYSE SCHRECONGOST

I am a senior strategic advisor and program manager, applying my technical training in economics and politics to domestic and international governance and policy issues across the water, sanitation, agriculture, and public health sectors. I have over 25 years of experience developing and managing interdisciplinary grant-funded projects and start-ups, exceeding $100 million. I am a systems thinker who leads by fostering collaboration, learning and growth, leveraging data-driven insights as critical sign posts. I enjoy the creative opportunity that comes with working in the context of scarcity, change, and uncertainty, and I know the value of trust, non-traditional expertise, and diverse perspectives in those contexts. My most recent portfolio of investments supported regulators, utilities, international finance institutions, private companies, and research organizations, with the goal of strengthening public sanitation governance and service systems and of improving basic services in low income urban areas. This has included improving accountability and learning systems, accelerating technology innovation, developing public data and performance management infrastructure, fostering public-private partnerships and intersectoral communities of practice.
