About Alyse Bone

I\'m Alyse Bone, a dedicated therapist with a rich experience spanning over 10 years. My journey in the field has allowed me to work with a diverse range of clients, from the tender age of 3 to 74, across various sectors including forensics, in-home intensive care, non-profits, educational institutions, hospitals, and private practice settings. This vast exposure has enriched my practice with deep insights and proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Play Therapy, Mindfulness, and Psychodynamic approaches.I\'ve also had the privilege of contributing to academia as a guest lecturer and now adjunct professor in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, my alma mater, since 2016. My focus in recent years has been on supporting families and children dealing with ADHD, ASD, anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, and giftedness, alongside mentoring graduate interns through supervision.Believing strongly in the power of education to transform mental health awareness, I actively lead workshops and seminars for schools, small businesses, and offer continuing education for professionals. My commitment extends to my community involvement, where I serve on the board of a local charter school and hold leadership roles within the state mental health organization, specifically as the division President of Spirituality, Ethics, and Religion (23-25) and the Child Development Division President (24-25).My career in therapy is a testament to following one\'s passion. Over the last decade, I\'ve not only embraced my calling but have also integrated my love for yoga to enhance the mind-body connection for athletes and clients alike. I am fortunate to live my dream every day, helping others find healing, growth, and fulfillment.
