Alycia is a wildlife conservationist passionate about promoting animal welfare and maintaining ecosystem interactions through stewardship, advocacy, and interconnection. Beginning as a certified therapeutic horseback riding instructor, Alycia has a strong foundation in applying animal husbandry techniques to diverse populations including hoofstock, canids, marine mammals, bears, raptors, and small mammals. She currently serves as an Advanced VetLab Intern at the Navy Marine Mammal Program ensuring the health, longevity, and wellbeing of the Navy’s dolphins and sea lions. She also serves as an Animal Care Volunteer at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center practicing the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of marine mammals.
