ABOUT ALY SAVAGE

Growing up, I had many aspirations for future careers, which included being a pop-star, dancer, and veterinarian, but my love of law sparked in D.C. As a fifteen-year-old girl, I looked at how laws and the courts affected how people were and are. Separately, I love history from my grandfather, who believes no matter where you go, you have to go to a museum. My passion started there. However, going into college made me realize I never wanted to study politics. Just taking one class in accounting, I was captivated. The puzzle of financial statements and books made my life feel complete. One of my goals in life was to find a career path that would allow for me to help others, and accounting and law satisfies both. Working in a prosecutor\'s office, a juvenile office, an accounting firm, and the Arkansas Supreme Court\'s Clerk Office demonstrated I could help people while doing something I loved. Now, I\'m an enthusiastic 1L candidate and have a master\'s of accounting. Through my experience and education, I believe I would be an asset to any team. I love to learn and be helpful to others, which translates over into my work-life. Through my bachelor\'s degree and master\'s degree, I\'ve learned quite a lot about financial accounting, accounting standards, and experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office products. With my continuing legal education, I\'m learning how to write memos and the theoretical reasons we have the laws we have today. I would love to join a team which is willing to help me continue learning and grow as a professional.
