ABOUT ALVARO BELTRAN
Ever since I was a child, I was captivated by computers. I spent countless hours navigating, exploring new software, and playing video games. However, and despite my passion, I chose to pursue a career in Financial Planning, and after 10 years in the field, I can certainly say that it proved to be a fulfilling and enriching experience. During this time I had numerous opportunities for personal and professional development and the amazing chance of leading successful teams. As a natural problem solver, I enjoyed so much to be working on complex financial models for budgeting and forecasting, as well as, solving day-to-day issues effectively. However, the further I went into looking for more automated/efficient ways of getting the job done, the more I fell in love with coding and development. As a result, I decided to become a software developer, enrolling in Information Technology Solutions program at Humber College as the first step into my new career. I enjoy working on new projects and providing technological solutions to real-life problems. My set of skills includes Full Stack Web Development, Windows and Mobile App Development, Data Analysis, and Business Financial Modeling. So far I\'ve gained experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Express, React, MongoDB, JQuery, Bootstrap, Tailwind, ASP.NET, Java EE, C#.NET Framework, Java, Android Studio, Swift, SQL, and Git/GitHub.
