ABOUT ALVARO C.

I’m a veterinarian and product development leader with over a decade of experience in veterinary medicine, translational research, pre-clinical and clinical development, and innovation in animal health.I serve as Product Development Director for both ACI Biosciences Brasil and ACI Biosciences (USA), with a primary focus on clinical development and innovation in the Brazilian market. At ACI Biosciences Brasil, I lead the development of veterinary pharmaceutical products and oversee clinical operations within a collaborative, cross-functional R&D environment.My background spans clinical anesthesiology (small and large animals), the design and execution of pre-clinical and clinical studies, translational research, and the development of regulatory strategies that align scientific rigor with business objectives and unmet clinical needs. I take a collaborative, cross-functional approach to R&D—working closely with scientists, clinicians, regulatory teams, and industry partners to bring innovation from concept to field application.I’m passionate about building high-performing, purpose-driven teams and unlocking the real-world impact of novel veterinary therapies.
