Rocketship Public Schools is a network of high-quality elementary schools serving primarily socioeconomically disadvantaged students in service of our vision to eliminate the achievement gap in our lifetimes. Regional Directors perform a critical role in our communities - they have deep understanding and commitment to the communities we serve. They are charged with shaping the external landscape to create an environment where our schools and families can thrive. This entails setting a strategic vision for external relations, collaborating with network and school leaders to launch new and support existing Rocketship schools, engaging and cultivating relationships with donors, champions, allies, and advocates, recruiting and managing the board, and forging new partnerships and alliances that align with our vision and serve our Rocketeers and their families. It may also include managing compliance and building and sustaining robust parent demand to attend Rocketship schools and igniting education advocacy among parent leaders. The Regional Director is responsible for shaping the environment where our schools can thrive, while the Director of Schools delivers on the promise to our students, families, and communities through effectively running our schools.
