Scope of work:WEC supply cutting-edge technology to nearly half the commercial nuclear power plants, also providing complete development, licensing, engineering, project management, component manufacturing.My role as Senior Quality specialist including- Monitoring Design Verification Test of fuel components replacement of Nuclear Reactors- Reviewing and verifying quality documentation such as: Quality manuals, test plans and procedures, ITP, M & TE calibration, Coorective actions, disposition NCRs, history dockets- Conducting oversight and inspection on work execution to ensure it is being met the requirements of CSA N286, CSA N299, and CSA N285, 10CRF50, ASME codes- Verifying Purchas Requsitions and Purchase Orders- Providing technical support and Quality support to provide proposals- Supporting Internal Audit based on ISO 9001, NQA-1, WEC\' QMS and procedures- Maintaining up-to-date curriculums and onboarding to reflect innovative technology, latest revision of standards, codes- Reviewing design engineering documentation to verify compliance with QA requirement.Projects:Engaged to develop a new toolset to reposition the fuel channels in Bruce Power’s Unit 3 to extend the design life of the CANDU® reactor. Engaged to design, manufacture, test and deliver a state-of-the-art toolset capable of performing the fuel channel maintenance work. This toolset contained over 40 tools, Very complex and intricate welding was required in specific fuel channel configurations and was executed within a few thousandths of an inch to satisfy procedural requirements.Tritium Removal, reviewing and working to develop an in-house process to insource the manufacturing of high purity Titanium Sponge. WES is now the sole supplier of high purity Titanium Sponge for nuclear applications, and the ITCs, including Titanium Sponge, can be entirely manufactured in Peterborough Facility.
