I am a Computer Threat Researcher with specializations in Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Mac malware analysis, detection and cleanup, Targeted email fraud detection and prevention (Phishing), Point of Sale (POS) malware, and the Potentially Unwanted Application (PUA) landscape.With my years in the computer security field backed by a further ten years of experience as a network administrator, I have considerable experience in desktop and server systems planning, administration, and hardware procurement. In addition to providing remote enterprise customer IT support, I have acted as manager for numerous IT engineering teams and remote IT support staff.My management and architectural design experience involves a wide variety of electronic payment and access applications, with a focus in unattended card payment solutions.I bring all these skills to my current role as threat researcher, focusing on end-to-end analysis that includes the entire threat landscape. Currently I manage and drive the Potentially Unwanted Applications (PUA) strategy in the SophosLabs Generic Detection team.
