About Kelly Altes

Kelly Altes, PE, DBIA, is IMEG’s Vice President of Structural EngineeringKelly has 25 years of experience in both technical and business-level leadership roles, and has a reputation for a client-centric approach and deep commitment to driving project success. Her expertise includes value-add client service consulting, strategy development, process improvement, and coordination of multidisciplinary project teams. She brings a wealth of experience in managing complex projects from conception to completion, and has a technical background specializing in structural engineering with a focus on building and industrial structures.A 2001 graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in civil engineering, Kelly has spent her entire career at IMEG. She is a registered Professional Engineer and certified design-build professional. She also is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and Iowa Women in Architecture. She currently is serving on the board of directors for the ACE Mentor Program of Iowa, for which she has also been a mentor.
