   I live and work as a \"resident\" in a boarding house onsite, supervising 67 girls ages 13 to 18. On any given week, my responsibilities include wake-up registration, bedtime checkins, medicine dispensation, pastoral care and comfort, birthday celebrations, and brownie taste-testing. Residents provide stability and consistency for children in the boarding houses, many of whom are international students, and support them in all of their school-oriented and extracurricular endeavors. During the 6 day school week, I sit in on A-level and IB Economics courses, taking the lead on planning and teaching lessons as needed by the senior teacher. I consult with IB students on their Internal Assessment and External Essay preparation, and have helped Year 13s (12th graders) apply to American universities. Additionally, I teach three Year 9 (8th grade) studio art classes, helping build foundational skills with graphite, watercolor, acrylic, and linoleum block printing. I also assist with two Year 11 (10th grade) art classes as they prepare to qualify for their GCSE credits next summer, ensuring their work is as strong as it can be before submission. Throughout the week, I lead extracurricular activities, or ECAs, for Year 9s in sgraffito pottery and for any other students hoping to sharpen their skills.Outside of the classroom, I coach the always entertaining U15 hockey team, leading drills and incorporating new play strategies for our weekly matches. I will be starting as a U15 netball coach in January, and will roll on to the tennis coaching staff in Summer Term in May.
