ABOUT ALSHAYMAA ALHARBI
I’m a Doctor of Juridical Science (S.J.D.) candidate at Fordham Law and Legal Counsel at the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague. My work and research revolve around international law, dispute resolution, and the spaces where legal systems and legal traditions intersect. Before Fordham, I earned my LL.M. in International Business Regulation, Litigation, and Arbitration (IBRLA) from NYU School of Law as an Arthur T. Vanderbilt Scholar. I also completed an LL.M. at Duke Law, where I was selected as a Salzburg Cutler Fellow in International Law. My legal career began at Princess Nourah University in Riyadh, where I graduated valedictorian, summa cum laude.Having lived and worked across different legal jurisdictions, I bring a comparative lens and a strong sense of curiosity to everything I do. Rooted in my Saudi background yet shaped by truly global experiences, I’m drawn to work that bridges perspectives and people.
