ABOUT ALSHAIMAA ABDELGHAFFAR
As an R&D Packaging Scientist at Mondelēz International, I apply my materials science knowledge and food manufacturing skills to develop innovative and sustainable packaging solutions for the world\'s leading snacking company. I joined Mondelēz in January 2022 as a student and completed my master\'s thesis on the „Investigation of Sustainable Coating Solutions to Replace the Usage of Polyethylene in the Packaging of Sugar Confectionery Products“ with the R&D team. I have been working as a full-time packaging scientist since February 2023, contributing to various projects involving packaging design, testing, evaluation, and improvement. I am passionate about creating packaging that enhances the quality, safety, and shelf life of food products, while reducing the environmental impact and waste. I have a bachelor\'s degree in materials engineering from the German University in Cairo, and I am fluent in English, Arabic, and German. I am eager to learn new skills, collaborate with diverse teams, and deliver value to the customers and the company.
