About Alonzo Lee
I am a rising 3L at Thurgood Marshall School of Law and currently a legal intern with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office in the Special Crimes Bureau – Vehicular Crimes Division. My legal training has been shaped by a broad range of experiences, from judicial internships and criminal defense work to international law study and trial preparation.I previously interned with the Collin County Court, where I gained firsthand exposure to judicial decision-making and courtroom procedure. I later studied international business and asylum law abroad in London, developing a deeper understanding of how legal systems operate across borders. In private practice, I’ve supported criminal defense attorneys by reviewing discovery footage, drafting legal documents, and assisting with trial prep.At school, I serve as an executive board member for BLSA and as a Barbara Jordan Fellow, organizing impactful community events and voter engagement initiatives across Houston. These experiences have sharpened both my leadership and communication skills and reflect my long-standing commitment to service.I am especially drawn to litigation, transactional matters, and the intersection of law, culture, and business. I am seeking opportunities that allow me to think critically, contribute meaningfully, and continue growing as a well-rounded legal professional.
