About Alonna B.
I am proud to serve as the State Representative for Delaware’s 20th House District and as Executive Director of the Delaware Center for Justice (DCJ), a nonprofit with more than 100 years of advancing equity and justice in our state.With more than 15 years of experience in education, policy, nonprofit management, and public service, my work focuses on systems transformation, organizational development, and community-based solutions. I previously held leadership roles in state government, including serving as Delaware’s first Statewide Trauma-Informed Care Coordinator under Governor John Carney.As the founder of the Bryan Allen Stevenson School of Excellence, I helped bring to life a service-learning charter school dedicated to cultivating student leadership and educational equity. Beyond my professional work, I serve on nonprofit boards and leadership councils across Delaware, and I am honored to currently serve as President of the Syracuse University Alumni Association Board and as a member of the Syracuse University Board of Trustees.Above all, I am deeply rooted in my community—proud to call Sussex County home with my husband and our two sons—and committed to building a stronger, more equitable Delaware for future generations.
