About Alondra Chaire

With the recent defense of my PhD in Neuroscience, I am seeking to pivot into the private sector, with a full-time position in an organization needing to use my subject matter expertise and ability to produce reliable findings, improve operational integrity, and effectively communicate across diverse audiences, cultures, and disciplines. My talents advance healthcare, enhance scientific discovery, and strengthen product development by translating hypotheses into real-world results. Why Neuroscience? My fascination with understanding how the brain changes and adapts to its environment led me to pursue a Ph.D. in neuroscience at DZNE Institute in Germany. My research here has focused on understanding the neural basis of cognitive functions using electroencephalography (EEG) in humans. Specifically, I am interested in the neural oscillatory activity in the context of attention and working memory (WM). At the same time, I\'ve been fascinated with quantifying exercise-induced cognitive changes from long-term physical exercise. Previous research has found positive associations between cardiovascular fitness and better performance on attention and WM tasks. I want to use my skills - in neuroscience research and project management- to aid in understanding the brain’s capacity to adapt to external factors, such as physical activity and exercise.
