I’m Alok — a Junior Data Engineer working at the intersection of backend systems and data engineering.I build and maintain data pipelines + backend components using Python, Kotlin, and SQL, working across cloud data platforms and integrations. I’ve worked with Snowflake and BigQuery, and I’m currently involved in development work around AWS + Databricks.On a typical week, you’ll find me working on- ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows that don’t break in production - Backend and integration work (APIs, auth, retries, pagination, rate limits)- SQL performance and debugging data issues end-to-end-Improving reliability with logging, monitoring, and error handling.I share practical learnings around backend + data engineering, real production issues, and building systems that scale.
