About David Ing

I am a software developer and I was a scientist. I have expertise in software development, perception science, statistics, data analysis, and pattern classification. just to name a few.(I had expertise in lots of other things but those skills are a bit dated by now.)I prefer coding in C#, C++, and Java; and I\'m great with Python and bash scripts. I prefer to use Linux but I\'m good on Windows and not bad on a Mac.I have a PhD from the Center for Perceptual Systems at UT Austin. My dissertation included a rigorous analysis of a difficult problem in vision science (and computer vision). The research approach was related to natural scene statistics, ideal observer analysis, and machine learning.
