I am a Senior Associate & Chartered Legal Executive with Boyes Turner LLP, Solicitors. I have over 25 years experience in the field of commercial litigation/dispute resolution. I also head up the firm\'s contentious probate disputes group dealing with all manner of probate claims. I am also one of the lawyers in the firm\'s leisure & hospitality group. Recent cases of interest include: Acting for an IT software company in disputed claim by telecommunications provider for damages for alleged unlawful termination of contract. Acting for large estate agents in injunctive relief against former employee over retention & use of confidential information/documentation. Bringing successful claim for planning consultants in disputed claim for unpaid fees in the sum of Acting for recruitment business in proceedings against former employee for freezing injunction relief & related damages claim for circa following a long & sustained fraud perpetrated upon the business. Two of my career highlights include my first reported case, ICM Computer Solutions plc V Computer Distribution Ltd & Others, a case involving the fraudulent purchase & delivery of high spec plasma screens & another involving successfully acting for a leading estate agency in proceedings for recovery of unpaid commission where the owners denied payment on the basis that the agents had not been \"the effective cause of introduction\", which resulted in the client calling me a \"litigatory goddess\". More recently, a fraud claim including a worldwide freezing injunction. I have been recognised in Legal500 as \"a key person\" for dispute resolution and \"the key person\" for debt recovery.

I began my career as a family lawyer before moving into debt recovery/mortgage repossession claims both uncontested and contested claim and eventually becoming head of the debt recovery group. During that time I gained valuable and extensive experience of dealing with contract dispute claims for many industries. Some 25 years later, I now handle high value business to business contract disputes advising and assisting all commercial sectors with their disputes whether by way of contract management, pre-action or other correspondence, court proceedings, mediation, arbitration or otherwise. I have considerable expertise in commission disputes for estate agents & the recruitment industry & am familiar with the specific Regulations applicable to those disputes as well as those relating to the transport & logistics industry. I also undertaken work for the leisure and hospitality sector. In addition, I have considerable experience of dealing with contested insolvency proceedings together with ancillary matters such as retention of title claims & enforcement of lien claims, having gained considerable experience in this field acting for businesses within the transport & logistics and invoice finance/factoring industries. These cases involve the need to deal with the unusual feature of having to progress claims in circumstances where the creditor business is not the business who supplied the goods/services. I also head up the firm\'s contentious probate group & have experience of various claims including removing executors & administrators, claims over the validity of wills for lack of testamentary capacity and/or lack of want and knowledge of approval as well as claims pursuant to the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975 and undue influence, rectification and fraudulent wills claims. More recently, I have also undertaken work in relation to inquest claims.
