About Allyson Whyte
I am a fourth-year student at Tulane University pursuing a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Strategy, Leadership, and Management (SLAM). As a Tulane Honors member, I’m dedicated to academic excellence.Since 2018, I’ve coached swimming, primarily working with kids—a role I love that has strengthened my leadership, communication, and mentoring skills. I’m also Vice President of Tulane’s Water Polo Club, coordinating player outreach and building a supportive team environment through planning group activities and fostering personal connections.I’m passionate about mental health, reducing the stigma around it, and understanding how social systems shape trauma. Working in Dr. O’Brien’s Social Perceptions Lab has deepened my awareness and interest in this area.After graduating, I look forward to pursuing clinical psychology and a career in mental health.
