A workplace fatality changed everything for me. As a safety manager, I was deeply hurt by the realization that more could have been done to prevent such a tragedy. This experience became the catalyst for my commitment to transforming safety practices. I developed a gamified safety observation dashboard at that site, which led to a significant reduction in injuries—from 63 recordables in September to just 7 by December.
