Ally Smith is currently working as an Office PA on American Dad!As an assistant at a literary management company, Sheree Guitar Entertainment, they performed administrative duties including managing schedules, rolling calls, tracking submissions, and researching TV staffing needs. On the creative side, she collaborated with clients to build pitch decks.Ally graduated from Chapman University with a BFA in Creative Producing and a minor in Creative and Cultural Industries. During their time in school, they have gathered extensive on-set experience with production roles such as producer, unit production manager, location manager, and COVID compliance officer. Unlike her peers who only produced live-action short films, she produced a 2-minute animated short film since she is passionate about the world of 2D animation.As a script reader for the Austin Film Festival, she read 50+ scripts and graded them in categories such as concept, plot and structure. At Ramo Entertainment Law, her job included script coverage, research, and following production news. At 60 Second Documentary, she sourced potential interview subjects for a 60-second documentary then pitched 3-5 of the most compelling ones. In addition to working within the film industry, Ally is passionate about teaching and working with youth. At Diabetes Youth Families, they worked as a summer camp counselor for campers with disabilities such as Type 1 Diabetes. At Rockin Jump, she patrolled the trampolines to ensure the safety of the children bouncing.
