   Launched and lead Spotlight Delaware (initially a project of the Local Journalism Initiative and now its DBA) and Spotlight Delaware en Espanol, a collaborative, community-powered, nonprofit newsroom serving the First State.• Created new nonprofit organization to strengthen local journalism as a vehicle for fortifying our democracy and our communities, including- Advancing civic engagement - Providing government oversight and accountability - Reducing polarization and fortifying civil discourse, and - Elevating the voices and stories of BIPOC and other underserved and underrepresented communities.• Raised $3+ million to support local news and information initiatives.• Led a statewide study of news and information needs, including studying gaps in geographic and demographic communities. • Built the Delaware Journalism Collaborative to engage news outlets in working together to provide high-quality, independent news and information and foster civic engagement throughout the state. • Partnering with existing news organizations to advance innovations in news and information sharing and community engagement.
